The U.S. Coast Guard medically evacuated a 28-year-old man almost 100 miles west of San Diego Sep. 3, 2009. A crewmember aboard the fishing vessel Eileen began experiencing abdominal pain early in the morning, and the Coast Guard flight surgeon suggested the man be taken off the boat for immediate medical attention.
