150616-N-NK134-187 ACAJUTLA, El Salvador (June 16, 2015) - Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Yasmine Assanah, a native of Los Angeles, Calif., assigned to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Va., and a volunteer with the non-governmental organization (NGO) Latter Day Saints Charities (LDSC) organize medical equipment at a medical site established at the Centro Escuela "Lisandro Larin Zepeda" during Continuing Promise 2015 (CP-15). LDSC volunteers are working alongside other NGOs and joint military personnel during CP-15. Continuing Promise is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian-civil assistance, subject matter expert exchanges, medical, dental, veterinary and engineering support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
