SOUTH CHINA SEA (June 13, 2015) A Marine from the 1st Force Recon Detachment instructs Ensign Benedict Capaldi on proper M9 quick draw procedures during a dry-fire exercise on the flight deck of San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Anchorage (LPD 23). The Essex Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) is currently deployed on a regularly scheduled deployment in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
