Etter, present Dr. Jose Romero-Mariona, of Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), with a Top Scientists and Engineers Award at a Pentagon ceremony June 12. Romero-Mariona was recognized as an emergent investigator for his pioneering work on techniques to support the Navy's cryptographic needs. He participates in the Office of Naval Research (ONR) Energy Systems Technology and Development Program, and has worked closely with ONR's Sea Warfare and Weapons Department.
