Pfc. Elizabeth N. Nintai, a combat medic with 2nd Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, and a native of San Antonio, Texas, obtains a briefing from a Bulgarian ally on how to operate equipment during a Bulgarian weapons familiarization training, Bulgaria, June 12. During the exercise, 2/2 CR soldiers gained familiarization on the AK-47 assault rifle, and the rocket-propelled grenade from their Bulgarian counterparts as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve. The purpose of Operation Atlantic Resolve is for the soldiers to train as a united front to demonstrate the pledge to the protection of our NATO allies and support for our partners in Europe.
