U.S. Marine Warrant Officer Daniel Rodriguez uses a strong-hand grip to engage a silhouette target with his M9 service pistol during a deck shoot on the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), June 12, 2015. Marines and sailors with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, used the training evolution to hone their skills by firing using a variety of stances and grips. The 31st MEU is deployed on its regularly scheduled Fall Patrol of the Asia-Pacific region. Rodriguez, a native of Hayward, California, is the maintenance officer with CLB 31, 31st MEU.
