Pfc. Deantre P. Thornton checks the temperature of newly received fuel June 3 at Doksukri Training Area, Republic of Korea, during Korean Military Exchange Program 15-9. The Marines use a hydrometer to test the temperature and the American Petroleum Industry levels of the fuel to confirm its quality. The Marines received 15,000 gallons of fuel, which will be used for vehicles and equipment throughout the duration of the exercise. Bulk fuel Marines stationed on Okinawa train with simulated fuel while training on the Korean peninsula allows for them to use actual fuel. This KMEP has been designated as the engineering KMEP with a concentration in bulk fuel and continuation of training focused on maintaining operational presence while improving key relationships across the region. Thornton, from Atlanta, Georgia, is a bulk fuel specialist with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Joey S.
