U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Benjamin Westmoreland, an infantry assaultman with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, holds an alligator June 7 at Territory Wildlife Park, Northern Territory, Australia. The Marines took part in renovating an exhibit, building a memorial, removing algae, and moving mulch at the park. Community relations events such as volunteering strengthen the relationship between the U.S. and Australian allies. Westmoreland is a native of San Jose, California.
