USS Ronald Reagan executive officer, Cmdr. Ronald L. Ravelo is interviewed by Graphics Media Department personnel on the fantail of the aircraft carrier after an officer promotion ceremony. Ravelo was asked to give more insight into the customs and traditions of the ceremony, including the "Wetting Down" which was adopted from the Royal British Navy more than 235 years ago. "Wetting Down" is when the newly promoted officer is soaked with a bucket of water. Ronald Reagan is on a regularly scheduled deployment to the Western Pacific.
