A U.S. Marine with Marine Barracks Washington (MBW) hands a child a piece of the Marine Corps uniform prior to the start of an evening parade at MBW, Washington D.C., May 22, 2015. Deputy Secretary of Defense Robert Work was the guest of honor for the parade at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C., and Gen. John M. Paxton, 33rd assistant commandant of the Marine Corps, was the hosting official for the parade. The Evening Parade summer tradition began in 1934 and features the Silent Drill Platoon, the U.S. Marine Band, the U.S. Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and two marching companies.
