Staff Sgt. Shawna Sims, a 92nd Air Refueling Squadron KC-135 Stratotanker boom operator from Fairchild Air Force Base, Wash., refuels a B-52H Stratofortress from Minot Air Force Base, N.D., during an aerial refueling mission as part of exercise Amalgam Dart 15-2 May 28, 2015, over the Alaskan coastline. The B-52 is a long-range, heavy bomber that can perform a variety of missions and is capable of flying at high subsonic speeds at altitudes up to 50,000 feet.
