Kaiser, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Great Lakes and Ohio River Division in Cincinnati, Ohio, during a ceremony May 14, 2015 at the district headquarters in Nashville, Tenn. The award singled out Nix for his major contributions during his assignment with the Nashville District that supported the construction of a new bridge and mile of roadway for the Bear Creek Road extension, and relocation of several potable water lines at the Y-12 National Security Complex.
