A future young paratrooper dressed in a old airborne uniform stands at the low-ready during the 69th National Airborne Day celebration at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum in downtown Fayetteville, N.C., Aug. 15, 2009. This young future paratrooper was not alone. Many volunteer re-enactors came out for Airborne Day dressed in authentic uniforms from WWII through present day, and many displayed weapons and equipment from these bygone eras.
