Army Staff Sgt. Monica Martinez, a member of the 2015 Department of Defense Warrior Games Army Team, signs in at Fort Belvoir, Va., June 2, 2015. More than 40 active duty and Veteran athletes representing Team Army are training at Fort Belvoir. Martinez is assigned to the Walter Reed Warrior Transition Unit and is from Washington, DC. The 2015 DoD Warrior Games, June 19-29, is an adaptive sports competition for wounded, ill and injured service members and Veterans. Approximately 250 athletes, representing teams from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Special Operations Command and the British Armed Forces will compete in archery, cycling, shooting, sitting volleyball, swimming, track & field and wheelchair basketball.
