Hewitt, 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, renders a salute to the symbolic black rose he just placed on the monument's outside at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum entrance during the 69th National Airborne Day celebration in downtown Fayetteville, N.C., Aug. 15, 2009. Hewitt, a jumpmaster with 40 parachute jumps, said he was honored to represent paratroopers and their families who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
