Medic Sgt. Jose Rivera and nurse Capt. Michelle Fredach, Emergency Medical Treatment Team, perform primary and secondary assessments on a simulated casualty of an improvised explosive device blast May 30th at Exercise Combined Resolve IV. With the use of make-up and special effects, simulated casualties evacuated to the CSH provide the Soldier medics and Providers with more realistic, scenario based training that incorporates building on resiliency and simulation to high-stress conditions.
