    Servicing a CH-47 Chinook helicopter

Pfc. Christopher Dreisch (left) of Stafford Conn., and Spc. Christopher Williams of New Hudson, Mich., service a landing-gear strut on a CH-47 Chinook helicopter at Camp Adder, Iraq. Dreisch, 22, is working toward a degree in elementary education and hopes to complete his studies after deployment. To relax in Iraq, Dreisch goes fishing in the ponds on the north side of the base. His biggest catch was a catfish that measured in at more than 36 inches. He said he throws back the fish he catches.Williams repaired Chinook airframes and powerplants prior to the deployment and was also a student learning how to work on aircraft sheetmetal. After the deployment, Williams plans on working as an aircraft sheetmetal technician.Williams said his biggest surprise in Iraq was the dust. "I expected sand, but there is actually very little real sand. It's really just dust, and it gets in everything," he said.
