Staff Sergeant Byron England, a native of Johnson City, Kansas, and a member of the Marine Corps Shooting Team, shoots during the section match May 19 at the Puckapunyal Military Area, Victoria, Australia, during the Australian Army Skill at Arms Meeting 2015. AASAM is an annual, international combat-marksmanship competition hosted by the Australian Army, May 6 to 22. MCST is comprised of 12 Marines from Marine Corps Base Quantico and Marine Rotational Force- Darwin to represent the Marine Corps in this year’s competition. The team advances and promotes marksmanship to strengthen Marine Corps warfighting capability in order to provide combat-capable Marines and Sailors to the operating forces so that they may respond worldwide across the range of military operations.
