The 88th Regional Support Command color guard stands at attention prior to the Posthumous Purple Heart Ceremony for Capt. Russell Seager, May 22, at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Milwaukee. From left to right are Sgt. 1st Class Carissa Lelonek, 1st Sgt. Joseph Arne, Sgt. Brandon Graham and Sgt. 1st Class Corey Beal. Seager was killed Nov. 5, 2009, at Fort Hood, Texas, in a mass shooting which claimed the lives of 12 others and also injured 31. He joined the Army Reserve at the age of 47 and served with the 452nd Combat Support Hospital in Milwaukee. Seager had volunteered to deploy to Afghanistan and was killed at the age of 51 in the terrorist attack while preparing for the deployment with his unit.
