A young girl enjoys one of the dolls donated to the Emmanuel Khayalethu Orphanage by the U.S. service members, participating in exercise MEDFLAG 09. The service members visited and donated 6,200 South African Rand ($800) in food and toys to the orphanage in Motjane, Swaziland, Aug. 14, 2009. In partnership with the Umbutfo Swaziland Defence Force, U.S. Army Africa conducted a military medical exercise, MEDFLAG 09, in Swaziland from Aug. 3-14. Both U.S. And Swazi military personnel conducted training in disaster medical planning and operations, a mass casualty exercise and humanitarian and civic outreach to local communities.
