Maj. Gen. Abel Barrientes receives his second star in a promotion ceremony attended by family and friends at the Marines' Memorial Club and Hotel in San Francisco, April 25, 2015. Maj. Gen. Richard S. "Beef" Haddad, vice commander, Air Force Reserve Command, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., was the presiding officer. Barrientes is the mobilization assistant to the vice commander, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. He is a command pilot with more than 5,700 flying hours in military aircraft, including the T-37, T-38, T-39, C-21, C-5A/B.
