Spc. Patricia Recio, a supply clerk and Brownsville, Texas, native assigned to 2nd Battalion, 20th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division Artillery, is entered into the Defense Biometric Identification System May 26, 2015 as part of the unit’s initial in-processing at Osan Air Force Base, South Korea. Recio and the rest of her unit will spend nine months in Korea as the Army’s first rotational Multiple Launch Rocket System battalion. The battalion was identified for the mission by Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter after an announcement was made through a press release in March. During their rotation, the battalion will fall under command of the 210th Field Artillery Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division.
