150522-A-OM702-140 TUAPI, Nicaragua (May 22, 2015) Veterinarian volunteers with the non-governmental organization (NGO) World Vets and Army veterinarian technicians conduct a subject matter expert exchange with Nicaraguan citizens at the Tuapi Community Center during Continuing Promise 2015 (CP-15). The World Vets organization provides veterinary aid in remote regions of the world and is currently working with joint-military members and other NGOs to complete the CP-15 mission. Continuing Promise is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian-civil assistance, subject matter expert exchanges, medical, dental, veterinary and engineering support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
