DARWIN, NORTHERN TERRITORY, Australia — U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Taylor Butler, a combat engineer with Combat Logistics Detachment 1, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, talks with children during an opening ceremony May 15 at C3 Church Darwin, Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. In honor of their hard work and expertise during the renovation, the Marines were invited to witness the grand opening of the church. MRF-D is the deployment of U.S. Marines to the Northern Territory, during which they will not only engage in bilateral training operations with the Australian Defence Force, but also aid in community projects to help strengthen relations with Australians throughout the region.
