GULF OF ADEN (May 21 , 2015) -A CH-53 Super Stallion assigned to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365 (Reinforced) prepares to land aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS New York (LPD 21) while Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) 27, assigned to Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4, prepares for embarkation. New York is a part of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
