British Royal Marine Commando Cpl. Dave Marlow acts as the belay man for another commando during the sustainment part of Platinum Lynx, May 3, 2015. The belay man is the safety for the climber to control the climber's descent from the rock. Platinum Lynx is a multilateral two-week exercise in the mountains of Romania. Royal Marine Commandos from the United Kingdom, U.S. Marines with Black Sea Rotational Force and the Romanian Mountain Brigade climbed various cliff faces utilizing different techniques that each country specializes in.
