NEW YORK (May 20, 2015) - Coast Guardsmen aboard the USCGC Sturgeon Bay (WTGB 109) render honors while passing One World Trade Center in Manhattan as USS San Antonio (LPD 17) sails behind them in the Parade of Ships. The event officially begins Fleet Week New York and provides the public with a passing review of the week's visiting ships. Fleet Week New York, now in its 27th year, is the city's time-honored celebration of the sea services. It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today’s maritime services.
