Ryan Short, an infantry machine gunner assigned to Company A, 1st Battalion, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, jokes around with an Iraqi army soldier after being challenged to an arm wrestling competition at Combat Outpost Carver, here, Aug. 12. "I like working with them, I really do," said Short. "Sometimes other Soldiers are scared to get involved - any little bit that we're able to give them or show them is going to help them out in the long run."
