Army Lt. Col. Steven King, North Carolina National Guard Full-time Support Chaplain, had a retirement ceremony at Joint Force Headquarters in Raleigh, N.C. May 18, 2015. King has supported numerous Soldiers, Airmen and families across the entire state. He has served as a chaplain now for over 14 years (12 in the NCARNG and 2 in the KYARNG), four years previously as a chaplain candidate in the KYARNG, and 11 years enlisted, where he rose to the rank of staff sergeant as a chaplain assistant, for over 29 years of total military service.
