Lance Cpl. The endurance course is the final event Marines participating in jungle warfare training must face, trudging through roughly five miles of Okinawan jungle through 30 obstacles. The course builds upon the skills the Marines acquired in the previous week of training and emphasizes teamwork. Jones is a Shoreview, Minn., native and rifleman with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment.
