Rep. Joe Wilson speaks with Cpl. Justin Craft, an infantry mortarman with 1st Battalion, 77th Armor Regiment from Swansea, S.C., Aug. 9. The South Carolina representative received briefings on the brigade's advise and assist mission, toured CERP funded civilian training complex and met with U.S. and Iraqi security force leaders at Camp Dhi Qar, an Iraqi base near Nasiriyah. The Highlander Brigade, the first unit to serve in an "advisory and assistance" role, is deployed out of Fort Bliss, Texas, and operates in Dhi Qar, Maysan and Muthanna provinces in southern Iraq.
