Aerospace ground equipment airmen wash their hands removing dirt, oil and chemicals that they have come in contact with to maintain sanitation and control the spread of germs or illnesses during shift breaks at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar. Shift breaks and hours vary depending on the work to rest ration in heat stress conditions. During the summer months deployed airmen sometimes conduct their mission in wet-bulb globe temperature index of black flag, which is recommended to have a 15-minute work with a 45-minute rest schedule and a “buddy system” to keep their wingmen safe.
