Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Cao, information systems technician, assigned to the guided-missile frigate USS Kauffman, holds his one-month-old daughter for the first time after returning from a deployment to Naval Station Norfolk after a four-month deployment. Kaufman deployed to Latin America and the Caribbean as part of Southern Seas 2009 supporting the U.S. Southern Command Partnership of the Americas strategy.
