First Lt. Alexis Scully, a Black Hawk pilot for the 7/158th Aviation Battalion of the Oregon National Guard, dreamed of being a pilot from a young age. After completing ROTC, Scully, a native of San Diego, was sent to flight school to learn to pilot military helicopters. Today, she flies medical evacuation missions at CMTC / CCEM Wainwright in support of Maple Resolve 2015. About 6,750 military personnel from the Canadian army, the Royal Canadian Air Force, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Army Reserve, U.S. Army National Guard and the U.K. are taking part in the largest Canadian army exercise of the year from April 20 to May 23.
