Retired NASA Flight Director Eugene Kranz is recognized as a U.S. Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Distinguished Alumnus in a ceremony in his honor at Air War College, Dec. 16, 2014. Kranz, best known for directing Mission Control during Apollo 13, was chosen because he attained a high level of honorable recognition or distinction for an accomplishment with Air Force-wide or national/international significance.
