U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen inspect bridge equipment aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Normandy during their initial moments aboard the ship. A group of 13 midshipmen from the U.S. Naval Academy are aboard Normandy during the last phase of midshipmen participating in summer cruise throughout the fleet. The summer cruise exposes the midshipmen to a variety of platforms and operations.
