Personnel from the U.S. Air Force’s 36th Airlift Squadron, Yokota Air Base, Japan, and the Philippine air force’s 710th Special Operations Wing, Clark Air Base, Philippines, conduct a pre-flight briefing prior to a C-130H Hercules mission that will drop paratroopers over a landing zone as part of Exercise Balikatan 2015 at Clark Air Base, Philippines, April 24. During the mission, about 40 service members from both the U.S. and Philippine air forces jumped from the C-130H in order to maintain proficiency and build Philippine-U.S. integration capabilities. Balikatan, an annually conducted exercise in the Philippines, helps both the U.S. and the Philippine Armed Forces maintain a high level of readiness while enhancing military-to-military relations and combined combat capabilities.
