The first load of the ammunition barge arrives on JBER April 15. Contracted forklift operators use their skills to unload each container weighing between 20,000 and 40,000 pounds; after they are offloaded from the trucks, the ammunition inspection team standing by opens the containers and inspects the ammunition before storing them into earth-covered igloos.
