Kayla Kiley looks out at the flight line at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., while riding in a bus to visit the 121st Fighter Squadron at the base as part of the Pilot for a Day program Thursday, July 23. The Pilot for a Day program, which started at the base in 2004, allows children with serious or life threatening illnesses and their families to meet and interact with personnel from a variety of units at the base and get hands-on demonstrations of the aircraft and equipment those units use. Kiley is currently battling cancer.
