150423-N-AT101-142 PUERTO BARRIOS, Guatemala (April 23, 2015) - Joanna Josue, a family nurse practitioner and volunteer with the non-governmental organization (NGO) Registered Nurse Response Network (RNRN), cares for a patient at medical site set up in a sports complex in Puerto Barrios during Continuing Promise 2015. RNRN volunteers are working alongside military personnel and other NGOs in support of CP-15. Continuing Promise is a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored and U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet-conducted deployment to conduct civil-military operations including humanitarian-civil assistance, subject matter expert exchanges, medical, dental, veterinary and engineering support and disaster response to partner nations and to show U.S. support and commitment to Central and South America and the Caribbean.
