OKINAWA, Japan (April 24, 2015) Construction Mechanic Constructionman Matthew Billings, a Seabee assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, gets the mud rinsed off of him after completing the basic Jungle Warfare Training Center in Okinawa. More than 60 Seabees from NMCB 5 attended the week long course taught by Marine instructors. The course is designed to prepare Marines and joint forces for the rigors of combat in a dense jungle environment. NMCB 5 is currently deployed to Japan and several countries in the Pacific area of operations conducting construction operations and humanitarian assistance projects.
