    III Marine Expeditionary Force

Philippine and U.S. Marines move a 20-ton storage container with a MKR-15 wrecker at Crow Valley, Philippines, April 23 during Exercise Balikatan 2015. Philippine Marines worked side-by-side with their U.S. counterparts to learn the capabilities of the AMK-36 and the MKR-15 wrecker logistical vehicles. The AMK-36 and MKR-15 are used during vehicle recovery and port operations. The logistical assets broaden the Marine Corps’ expeditionary nature by making it easier for the logistical combat element to support warfighting capabilities. Balikatan is an annual exercise that enhances military-to-military relationships with the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The U.S. Marines are assigned to Combat Logistic Battalion 4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. The Philippine Marines are assigned to Motor Transportation and Maintenance Battalion, Service Support Brigade. (Marine Corps Photo by Cpl. Joey S. Holeman, Jr./ Released)
