Former 1st Lt. Clayton A. Nattier, a veteran bomber pilot who was held as a prisoner of war during World War II, takes a look at the Purple Heart Medal received from the Air Reserve Personnel Center April 17, 2015, on Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. Nattier visited ARPC to receive his POW Medal among various other medals, then took time to personally meet and thank the members on the recognition service team who assisted him. Members from the ARPC recognition service team who assisted him are: Retired Brig. Gen. Pat Quisenberry, evaluations branch chief, Jacqueline Bing, sustainment division chief, Master Sgt. Jeremy Bohn, pre-trained individual manpower division chief, and Master Sgt. Richard Grybos, NCO in charge of training and development. Nattier worked in conjunction with retired Lt. Col. Kathryn Wirkus, a constituent service representative from U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter’s staff, to obtain his POW Medal. A formal presentation to award the POW Medal to Nattier is currently being planned by Perlmutter’s office.
