The GAU-17 machine gun is installed before a flight aboard Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, N.M., April 6, 2015. The GAU-17 is capable of shooting 3000 rounds per minute and when integrated with the Defense Weapons System of the MV-22B Osprey can fire every round in a one meter by one meter box from a distance of 1,200 meters.
