Mitch McGuffie, commanding officer of the Cyclone-class coastal patrol ship USS Firebolt (PC 10), speaks at the USS Firebolt 11-year memorial 5K run onboard Naval Support Activity Bahrain. The memorial run is in remembrance of Boatswain's Mate 1st Class Michael J. Pernaselli, 27, of Monroe, N.Y., Signalman 2nd Class Christopher E. Watts, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Coast Guardsman Damage Controlman 3rd Class Nathan B. Bruckenthal, 24, of Smithtown. N.Y., who were killed during a Maritime Interception Operation, when the dhow they were intercepting self-detonated in the northern Arabian Gulf.
