Armed Forces of the Philippines service members from Western Command and U.S. Marines from U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, participate in a subject matter expert exchange in graphic design at WESCOM 6th Civil Relations Group in Puerto Princesa, Philippines April 24, 2015. The exchange was in part of exercise Balikatan, which translates to “shoulder-to-shoulder” in Filipino, is an annual bilateral exercise between the AFP and the U.S. military, which focuses on improving security cooperation activities, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities, and crisis response throughout the region in accordance with the Mutual Defense Board and Security Engagement Board.
