A Marine with C. Co., 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, reads through the “nine-line” procedures as Marines call for support during a counter improvised explosive device training exercise aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 22, 2015. The Marines used radios to communicate with the command operations center for support with casualties or injured Marines, as well as calling for an explosive ordnance disposal team after identifying an improvised explosive device. They wore masks to protect their faces while using simulated rounds to suppress the mock-enemies. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. Kaitlyn Klein/Released)
