150423-N-ZN259-278 ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 23, 2015) Sailors attached to USS Porter (DDG 78) lower a rigid hull inflatable boat into the water in preparation of small boat operations April 23, 2015. Porter, an Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer, is in route to Rota, Spain, where it will operate forward-deployed in support of U.S. 6th Fleet operations. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with allied, joint and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
