South African navy Seaman Michella O'Dell watches her native ship, SAS Amatola, come alongside USS Arleigh Burke. South African service members are embarked aboard Arleigh Burke as part of a crew swap between the two ships to familiarize Sailors with a foreign navy's operation and lifestyle. Arleigh Burke departed Durban, South Africa with SAS Amatola to kick off a series of cooperative at sea exercises geared to enhance interoperability and strengthen the ongoing partnership between the two navies.
