Coast Guard hosts open house on new requirements for Uninspected Passenger Vessel operations in the U.S. Virgin Islands
Visitors and members of the maritime industry attend an open house at Coast Guard Marine Safety Detachment St. Thomas April 20, 2015, to learn about newly established requirements for Uninspected Passenger Vessel operations in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The Howard Coble Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation Act of 2014 allowed for Uninspected Passenger Vessels in compliance with the new measures to transport seven to 12 passengers in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
